STEVE CASEY

Steve Casey is a seasoned government professional who has over twenty-five years of strong public sector experience. Casey has an extensive senior management executive background serving in both the Executive and Legislative branches of government at the State, County and City levels. Steve joined the Big Dog team in 2018 as the Chief Operating Officer.

 

Casey was appointed by Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown as his First Deputy Mayor in 2006 after running the Mayor’s historic campaign electing Buffalo’s First African- American Mayor in the City of Buffalo’s history.

 

Before joining the Mayor’s administration, Casey served as Deputy Director of Communications for the New York State Senate Minority reporting directly to the New York State Senate Minority Leader.  He also served as Senior Policy Advisor and Chief of Staff for a New York State Senator and as a Senior Executive for the Erie County Executive.

 

Casey also has over 20 years of extensive political experience running campaigns at the local and state level. Casey was a Committee member, Executive Board Member and Officer to the Erie County Committee. Casey also has 5 years of private sector experience as the CEO of a $500 million massive mixed-use master complex.
